Baby Contemporary
Baby Contemporary took the form of a series of workshops which looked at pieces on exhibition at Dublin Contemporary 2011 that were particularly suitable for very young children. A member of the Education Team lead a discussion for parents on selected artworks and babies were able to listen in, explore textures used to make the artwork and engage with the group. Babies who can crawl were free to do so in the Education Space where there was gentle sounds playing and art materials to explore.
Tea and coffee was provided.
Meet in the Education Room, Ground Floor.

Dublin Contemporary 2011 offered a variety of family programmes for children from 3-13 accompanied by their parents and caregivers.
Tiny Contemporary
These sessions provided an opportunity to explore the art on display at Dublin Contemporary at one of our hands-on art-making workshops. We discovered a different theme every week, investigating shape, colour and texture. Parents were welcome to join in the fun and make alongside their children.
This series of workshops encouraged speaking and listening skills through discussion of artworks, hand-eye co-ordination and motor skills through tearing, drawing and cutting and interactive play through group work. A member of our Education Team lead a discussion for children on selected artworks, which was followed by art-making in our Education Space.
